Pretty much everybody knows that Superman possesses the power of super-speed. He can run, move, react and fly at speeds beyond that of the speed of light, can circumvent the globe in no time at all and can jet off into space before most people can blink. But did you know his thought process is also incalculably quick? He thinks within nanoseconds. In the above picture, his internal monologue bubbles show a full on conversation going on at a point when the Man of Steel admits he needs to react to a dangerous situation within a nanosecond. To put that into perspective, a nanosecond is one billionth of a second. To further elaborate, one nanosecond is to one second what one second is to 31.710 years. It is, quite literally, no time at all, and yet Superman is able to both think and act in that time. As useful as the ability may be, can you imagine how long a day must seem to last for someone who can operate within that time-frame?!
