10 Marvel Characters Who Became Ghost Rider

4. Peter Parker

Cosmic Ghost Rider Frank Castle
Marvel Comics

Yes, you read that correctly: Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider-Man was once the host of the Spirit of Vengeance! Granted, it didn't take place on Earth-616, but rather, Earth-11638 where he is known as Ghost Spider!

The reality is much different seeing as Uncle Ben was never killed. He ended up helping Peter adapt to use his new powers becoming The Amazing Spider, but that wasn't all; he also became a rich and powerful scientist who began his own company called, Parker Technologies.

Unfortunately, this version of Peter Parker was a bit nastier than the one fans are used to seeing as he pulled other Peters from alternate universes to his own so he could sap them of their powers. When he brought the Earth-616 version over, things didn't work out and he was killed while trying to take Peter's powers. When he died, he went to Hell, but not for long.

When Dr. Banner, that reality's Sorcerer Supreme, died, he helped bring Parker's spirit back to Earth but infused his soul with the spirits and powers of the damned who sought repentance. When he awoke, he was the Ghost Spider! Newly repentant, he returned to Parker Technologies and returned Peter to his universe.
