4. The Thing
On paper, there shouldn't be much in a contest between the Hulk and the Thing. The Hulk is the strongest there is, while the Thing just happens to be one of the strongest figures in the Marvel Universe. Despite this, the Hulk vs the Thing is perhaps Marvel's most famous and most repeated hero-on-hero fixture, with multiple writers and artists having deemed the confrontation worthy of revisiting.
On most occasions, these fights would end in a stalemate, or the more likely scenario of a Hulk victory. However, there have been two occasions where the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing has come out on top; once in Fantastic Four #320, and again more recently in the stomach churning Fantastic Four #13 from 2019.
The first victory comes as more of a technicality, as the Hulk was in his grey form at this time and the Thing was powered up. However, the second victory Ben Grimm wins comes from sheer strength and the will to win alone, leading to the decidedly unsavoury moment where Ben puts everything into one punch, and artist Sean Izaakse shows the rocks peeling from his skin, revealing a kind of gooey flesh underneath.
It... doesn't get any better the more you look. Honest.
