Maria Callasantos easily lives up to her codename, and not just because of her mutation. Armed with a wicked temper, Maria murdered her drug-addicted mother and stepfather and may - or may not - have been responsible for the "accidental" deaths of her younger siblings Carolina and Matteo. Considering her tendency to fly off the handle and attack those she feels have wronged her at any given moment, it's no wonder she was known as Feral before her untimely demise. Once Maria's mutation was triggered, she developed all the traits of fellow mutant Hank McCoy (aka Beast) such as heightened senses and superhuman agility. Unfortunately, she also took on similar physical traits of McCoy...including fangs, claws, and body-covering fur. Check out the similar hairstyles. The only difference between Feral and Beast was while McCoy's first transformation saw him take on simian traits, Maria's mutation immediately saw her take on the appearance of a humanoid feline, complete with a prehensile tail! Sadly, Maria was depowered thanks to M-Day, but has since somehow reverted back to her feline form. Her mutant powers did not return with her feline form though, unbeknownst to her, and she was murdered in battle against the vicious Sabretooth.
