10 Marvel Pets You Wish You Could Adopt

Despite having little physical similarity, or even that many similar traits to the animal, Logan has been the Wolverine since his first appearance. Sure, at the time Logan was a small, stocky figure with a bad temper, similar to an actual wolverine, but as time went on and Hugh Jackman started his iconic run as the character, that original design fell by the wayside.

Fast-forward to All-New, All-Different Marvel and we move even further away from the original concept as Laura Kinney is handed the mantle. Thankfully, writer Tom Taylor had a back-up plan to help the name seem a little more relevant.

Laura is woken in the middle of the night be a strange growling at her apartment door, only to be greeted by Squirrel Girl holding a vicious beast. Doreen had assumed because she is able to talk to squirrels, Laura was able to talk to wolverines and needed to get a message to her.

As the two went on a surprisingly wholesome mission to save a squirrel, Jonathan and Gabby stayed back and quickly grew attached to each other. Since then, they have been inseparable with Gabby literally putting her life on the line to make sure this adorable little critter stays safe.
