The Batman who laughs sure made a name for himself in Metal. From appearing in every one shot about the Nightmare Batmen, to leading the army of Barbatos himself, the twisted amalgamation of both Bruce Wayne and the Joker has no equal when it comes to being sadistic. No one man can predict his moves which is why the Dark Knight sent for help.

But instead of choosing one of the members of the Bat-Family for backup, or putting put the call for other heroes to answer, Bruce does the unthinkable. He calls his greatest nemesis, the enigmatic Joker, for help.

After the fall of Barbatos, The Batman Who Laughs, determined to be the catalyst for chaos unleashes his plan B. He reveals he has The Over-Monitor hostage and plans to combine his positive energy, anti-matter energy, and dark energy, causing the ultimate destruction of all life everywhere.

In an act of desperation Batman and Joker corner the Batman Who Laughs and through their unpredictable nature as team, manage to save not only their universe but the multiverse as a whole. Bruce makes the Clown Prince promise to never speak of their pairing, and the two go on their separate ways, after defeating the Batman Who Laughs.
