10 Mistakes Non-Comic Book Fans Make About Comic Books

5. Mixing Characters Up

Something that happens quite often when comic book fans talk to non-comic book fans is that the non-comic book fans think the comic book fans are referring to a completely different character/set of characters. Mention Flash, the fastest man alive in DC's comics, and the non-comic book fan may think you're referring to Flash Gordon. Mention the Avengers to a non-comic book fan and they may think you're referring to the likes of Emma Peel And John Steed from the television shows of the 1960s and 1970s. Heck, some people may even think you're referring to wrestling legend Hulk Hogan if you mention the Hulk. We may laugh when this occurs, but it's fairly understandable and a lot more common than you may think.
