10 Moments Comic Book Characters Realised THEY Were The Villain

Even though Gorr's tribe were devout to the gods, he lost his faith after his family died. Since atheism was regarded as blasphemous by his people, he was excommunicated.

When he encountered two deities in the desert soon after, he convinced himself that the gods allowed his family to perish because they are naturally selfish. After stealing one of the gods' weapons, The All-Black, Gorr traversed the cosmos to eradicate every deity he could find. Despite slaughtering thousands of godlings for millennia, he believed he was doing the universe a favour since his actions would encourage all species to help themselves rather than relying on so-called higher beings.

Using the All-Black, he created a construct of his deceased wife, Arra, and his son, Agra, and pretended they were his real family. But when Arra started questioning his actions, Gorr killed her.

When Thor ultimately defeated him, Agra confronted his fallen father. He told Gorr he was a hypocrite for killing his mother since he claimed he was committing deicide to avenge his family. As Agra labelled his father "The God of Hypocrisy", Gorr let out a bloodcurdling scream, acknowledging he had become the very thing he despised.
