10 Most Brutal Things Jason Todd Has Ever Done

9. Tormented Mia Dearden - Seeing Red

Jason Todd Tortures Joker
DC Comics

When Jason Todd resurfaced a year after Infinite Crisis, he was back to being the vindictive, manipulative, and brutal Jason fans were familiar with - eventually taking on the Red Hood moniker.

While Batman and the greater Bat Family were usually in Todd's sights, that didn't stop this once-fallen Robin from turning his attention to other DC heroes. Most notably, Jason turned up to pay Oliver Queen and Mia Dearden a visit in Green Arrow #72.

Here, readers saw Jason doing his best to convince Mia to join him in his murderous ways. As Jason reasoned, both himself and Mia were overlooked sidekicks who were forced to live in the shadow of their privileged mentors.

Not just stopping there, Todd discussed the pair's respective upbringings on the streets, where they both had to do some horrible things just to get by. For Dearden, her time on the streets involved prostitution, drug use, and death, and Jason suggested he'd had his own similar experiences during a tough upbringing which saw him desperately searching for a father figure.

Playing on Mia Dearden's very real and raw past experiences was bad enough, but Jason took things to a whole other level of dastardly by blowing up Mia's school after she refused to join him in his crusade.
