2. Limbo
Limbo, also known as Otherplace, is a realm that exists in a pocket dimension. The area is ruled by magic. The region possesses gravity and an atmosphere but the sky has no stars. The landscape changes with the desires of whoever is ruling Limbo at the time. It should also not be confused with the Temporal Limbo that is ruled by Immortus.
Limbo is dotted with “stepping discs” that transport beings through time and space. Those of significant power can control the discs and travel anywhere in an instant. Illyana Rasputin was abducted as a child by Limbo’s ruler Belasco and raised to be his apprentice. When she hit puberty, her mutant power allowed her to control the discs and the magical forces of Limbo. She seized control from Belasco, took control of the demon forces, and took her place as the owner of the Soulsword. She would eventually become Limbo’s Sorcerer Supreme.
Any human who enters Limbo will find themselves starting to change by the magic within. They will grow horns, hooves, and a tail, among other changes. This change will allow them to utilize the inherent magical forces of the area more easily but it would cost the person their immortal soul.
