10 Most Disturbing Comics Relationships

1. Hal Jordan And Arisia Rrab

Harleen Joker Harley Quinn
DC Comics

The only logical reason for Arisia Rrab's character arc in Green Lantern is that someone working there must have made some secret demonic pact with Beelzebub, promising to create the single most disturbing romance in comics ever, as there's no other way for Hal Jordan to have technically ended up in a long term relationship with a thirteen year old girl.

Because, when Hal first meets Arisia, she is his 'little sister' - a young member of the Green Lanterns with a child-like crush on the hero, which Hal naturally rejects to teach her about the kind of boundaries adults need to have with children.

Then Arisia manages to use her ring to 'age her up', and Hal looses literally any and all credibility and dates her. Because apparently, all that matters is that Arisia looks like an adult - which totally ignores the fact that it's still the brain of a thirteen year old piloting the whole thing.

It's things like this that almost make us glad the DC universe has been retconned twice since.
