10 Most Disturbing X-Men Villains

8. Sugar Man

Sugar Man is a relatively minor character, but as you can see, he's all kinds of messed up.

Introduced in the mid-nineties as a mutant from an alternate reality ruled by Apocalypse, Sugar Man is an expert geneticist and pupil to Mister Sinister. He's also basically just a giant head with a big tongue, red eyes and four arms, which is somehow also not the most terrifying image I've encountered in the process of writing this list.

True, it's possible to derive some comedy from the character's appearance (his upper left arm has a love-heart tattoo that has "sugar" written in the middle), but all of that flies away the instant you realise what his powers are. Sure, they might not be giving you a run for your money in X-Men Legends II anytime soon, but on paper, they're truly wicked.

So, you know his tongue? Well it's actually razor-sharp and can cut through anything - and I mean ANYTHING - which basically puts Toad out of business as the strongest tongue-wielding mutant to have fought the X-Men. His teeth are also razor sharp - he has CLAWS instead of nails - and he can change his size at will. How rotten is that?
