As Spider-Man Homecoming so aptly demonstrated, Peter is hilariously useless the second you take him out of New York City. And that joke originated in an issue of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man where, while trying to catch up with the villain of the week, Spidey finds himself stuck in the suburbs of the Outer Boroughs.

With nothing taller than a street light to swing from, Spider-Man has to resort to booking it as fast as humanely possible. No tall buildings means no web swinging. No web-swinging means he's just a weirdo in a red and blue onesie running through a suburb in the middle of the night. Which, granted, isn't the worst thing someone walking the streets of New York in the middle of the night could run into, but it's far from what I'd call dignified for this superhero.

Spider-Man would of course manage to just barely catch up to the villain that put him in this predicament, but I imagine he's very thankful that everyone in that suburb was asleep for this moment.
