The symbiote, particularly Venom, has been used as a metaphor for a lot of things. The original comic storyline used it as a metaphor for performance-enhancing drugs, Sam Raimi used it as an analogy for toxic masculinity and how relying on it will inevitably destroy your life, while modern comics and the Venom films take the angle of the symbiote being analogous to healthy vs unhealthy relationship dynamics.

This is a long-winded and pretentious way of leading into the funniest scene from Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroy's Marvel History, where Peter and Eddie Brock have a custody battle over the Symbiote.

The two have ended up on a beach, where Peter, in an effort to end the fight as quickly as possible, rips his whole damn uniform off and offers his tighty whitey self to the Venom symbiote. He and Eddie then proceed to trade some of the most homo-erotic threats this side of a JoJo manga, while some poor fisherman can only look on in disbelief.
