Wonder Woman's oldest supervillain is Ares. Ares isn't just a great warrior. He's the God of War. His very presence makes people prone to violence. He becomes more powerful when people die in battle. During war times, he can grow to a colossal size. He can use any weapon without practice and is invulnerable to all conventional weapons. As a result, Wonder Woman cannot defeat him through normal means. To best him in battle, she usually has to outsmart him.
