As a young aspiring hero, Hack was an exception to the usual dynamic of the Suicide Squad, in that none of the team wanted to disembowel her. This makes her death one of the sadder events of the series, and the Squad's decision to avenge her despite finally being free of Waller's control all the more heroic.

Despite the fact it will definitely land them right back in Belle Reve, the team joins together to take down the folks they think responsible in a montage more suited to the Avengers, or even Rocky, than a misfit bunch of criminals.
