10 Most Interesting Marvel Superhero Teams You've Never Heard Of

3. Force Works

Midnight Sons
Marvel

For a while, the Avengers were split into an East Coast team and a West Coast team. Eventually though, the West Coast team was shut down and folded back into the main Avengers team.

Shortly after that, Iron Man quit the Avengers over a dispute about how proactive they should be. Taking the dregs of the West Coast team with him, he formed Force Works.

The other members of Force Works were Scarlet Witch (who led the team), the second Spider-Woman, US Agent and Wonder Man. Wonder Man died on the first mission though and was replaced by the alien Century.

Force Works took a much more proactive approach to protecting the world. They used a super-advanced computer to predict crimes before they would happen and then took steps to prevent them. This is pretty much the same thing Tony Stark was recently fighting against in Civil War II because continuity is worth about as much as a mouldy sandwich.

Force Works disbanded pretty anticlimactically after about two years. All its members more or less just gave up on the idea and left.

Unlike every other team on this list, Force Works has made an appeareance outside of comics. The team was a big part of the 90's Iron Man cartoon series.
