10 Most Interesting X-Men You've Never Heard Of

1. Blink

Blink has the dubious distinction of being an obscure X-Men character twice.

The original version of Clarice Ferguson only appeared briefly as a prisoner of the Phalanx, a group of mutant-hating humans who had augmented themselves with Warlock's technology. Blink was a teleporter whose powers were unstable, shredding anything nearby. She and her captors were killed when she lost control of her "blink wave" and tore them all apart.

A second version of Blink appeared in the same timeline as X-Man. This version of Clarice was still a teleporter, but could also throw energy daggers that would teleport her opponent. She was a member of the X-Men and had a close relationship with her mentor Sabretooth.

The second Blink proved popular with fans and she survived the destruction of her world by joining the Exiles, a group of reality hopping X-Men from alternate universes. Clarice led the team as they travelled the multiverse, saving entire realities from destruction and also entered into a romantic relationship with her teammate, an alternate version of Mimic.

This version of Blink hasn't been seen since the cancellation of Exiles, but the original Clarice was resurrected as part of 'Necrosha' and became an ally of the New Mutants.

Blink also appeared with Warpath for a small role in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past as one of the future X-Men. She is also slated to appear in FOX's upcoming X-Men related TV series.

I was just a mild-mannered NCTJ accredited journalist until one day I found out the truth... that I could share my nerdy ramblings with people on the internet! It's just like mumbling to myself on the train, but without all the strange looks.
