10 Most Interesting X-Men You've Never Heard Of
2. Doctor Nemesis
Doctor Nemesis is actually one of Marvel's earliest heroes, first appearing as a masked crime-fighter in 1941.
The character was dusted off years later and explained to be a mutant with the ability of natural super-intelligent (he knows things without having to learn them) who had experimented on himself to greatly increase his lifespan.
James Bradley was initially the co-creator of the original Human Torch. When his colleague ignored a fault which caused their android to burst into flames, James quit and donned a surgical mask to fight crime as Doctor Nemesis. After a slightly awkward period working with the Nazis, he saw the error of his ways and spent the next decades hunting down those same Nazis (and their clones) with his trusty hypodermic needle gun.
Doctor Nemesis was invited by Beast to join the X-Club, a group of some of the world's greatest scientists, dedicated to solving the problems of mutantkind. Bradley helped them and the main X-Men team on numerous bizarre adventures, including travelling back to meet his own father and getting possessed by a psychic squid.
Since then, he has become a companion of Cable, serving as the team's scientist when he stated X-Force back up.
