10 Most Powerful Characters Killed By Batman

4. Reverse Flash - Flashpoint

Batman Superman Injustice
DC Comics

One of DC's most prolific stories of the modern era, Flashpoint saw the Flash (Barry Allen) alter reality using his speed and having to deal with the ramifications of his cosmic act.

The world he helped shape in the Flashpoint event was far different from his own, with Aquaman and Wonder Woman engaged in a global war, Superman nowhere to be found and Thomas Wayne taking on the mantle of Batman after Bruce was killed as a child.

As tensions escalate and more and more superpowered beings enter the planetwide conflict, Barry attempts to change the timeline but is stopped by the Reverse-Flash, who reveals that the hero was responsible for the changes in this new reality.

Thawne reveals that one of these changes meant that he no longer needed the Flash to live, and as a result intends to kill Barry. Before doing this, the villain is stabbed by Thomas with an Amazonian sword, and this act gives the Scarlet Speedster the opportunity to reverse his initial alteration.
