2. Magneto - Marvel Zombies
One would think that the Master of Magnetism would be several tiers above Captain America and his very metallic shield, but the unique manner in which comic stories are written has a way of humbling various powerhouses - sometimes in chilling ways.
The Marvel Zombies storyline is basically a multi-arc excuse to see physical deities lose to less powerful beings in gory fashion, and Erik Lehnsherr was not spared from this narrative device.
In the Marvel Zombies universe, Magneto was one of the few individuals on Earth that was not zombified and this put him in the crosshairs of Steve (known as Colonel America) and his undead cohorts.
One clash between the mutant leader and the zombies saw Magneto cut off the Colonel's head with his shield, greatly infuriating the former hero in the process. While attempting to flee to Asteroid M, Erik was ambushed by the zombies and overwhelmed by Hawkeye and the Wasp, before the Colonel and the other heroes devoured him.
