10 Most Powerful Mutants In Marvel History

5. Apocalypse

Jean Grey Phoenix Resurrection
Marvel Comics

En Sabah Nur was born millennia ago in Aqaba, Jordan, and may be the first human ever born with the X-Gene. Though he was outcast at an early age due to his grey skin and blue lips, he was able to survive with the Sandstormers under the leadership and protection of Baal.

When Kang the Conqueror came to ancient Egypt and took up the identity of Pharoah Rama-Tut, a series of events unfolded that resulted in the full manifestation of En Sabah Nur's powers. When this happened, he renamed himself Apocalypse and used abandoned Celestial technology to augment his abilities.

In terms of powers, Apocalypse may have struck the genetic goldmine as he doesn't age and is, as far as anyone can tell, naturally immortal. He has complete control over the molecules within his body, which gives him the ability to change his form as he sees fit.

His natural abilities also enable him to emulate and use the mutant powers of others and can reform and overpower his minions to suit his purposes. Throw in the fact that he's one of the most intelligent beings in the Marvel Universe and you have a Mutant whose powers rival that of a god.
