10 Most Powerful Mutants In Marvel History

6. Iceman

Bobby Drake first appeared as little more than a walking, talking snowman when he first hit the stands in the Uncanny X-Men's premiere issue. Over the years, his powers have evolved and his ability to control temperature is far more powerful these days than it was in the past.

Thanks to the way the X-Gene continues to evolve over time, Iceman's form went from a slushy snowman to a sleek figure composed of organic ice later in his publication. With this change came numerous new abilities, one of which may in fact be immortality.

Bobby's principal ability is to manipulate water vapor by freezing it around him. This is how he is able to reform his body into ice, create slides in the air, and blast objects with a freezing ability, but his powers are far more impressive than they seem on the surface.

While in his ice form, he can literally lose his head and survive with the ability to reconstitute himself. He can grow to gigantic proportions, create ice golems of himself, can survive indefinitely without food, water, or air, and is able to completely stop the motion of a target's molecules reducing their temperature to absolute zero. No surprise, then, that he has been confirmed as as Omega-Level Mutant.
