10 Most Powerful Mutants In Marvel History

3. Mr. M

Jean Grey Phoenix Resurrection
Marvel Comics

Absolon Zebardyn Mercator, otherwise known as Mr. M, is an enigmatic mutant who hails from a small town in Belgium. He spent much of his life wandering the globe after his powers manifested, but eventually came to Mutant Town where he didn't stick out much and generally got along with everyone.

Following the events of M-Day, Mr. M was one of the 198 who were unaffected and retained his powers. Those powers are not completely fleshed out in the series or well understood, but they are equivalent to that of a god so far as anyone can ascertain.

Mr. M's abilities give him complete control over the subatomic structure of matter and energy. With this ability, he has demonstrated super strength, healing himself and others, repairing all forms of machinery, intangibility, the negation or removal of other Mutant's abilities, force-field creation, mind control with telekinesis and telepathy, and the creation of life, which he has further evolved.

That's just a small list of what Mr. M is capable of, but there is likely a lot he can do that the creators have yet to show in the comics. In one story, he was hunted down and shot three times in the head, but thanks to his abilities, he survived the encounter.
