Earth-16 is another Morrison original that is set to be introduced in the third Multiversity one-shot, named The Just. Drawn by Ben Oliver, it features a world of legacy characters and children of superheroes like Connor Hawke (the second Green Arrow) and the Super-Sons (the bratty sprogs of Batman and Superman). Except instead of just being a fun peek into what the future of our regular heroes could be, it's a damning indictment of our own contemporary culture: these spandex-clad so-and-sos are the stars of tabloid rags and gossip magazines, having more in common with the Kardashians than their metahuman parents. To be fair to them, the reason they spend more time partying and getting snapped by paparazzo than saving lives is because their elders did such a good job they ushered in a utopia, a new era of peace without the need for superhuman protectors. "What happens when your mom and dad fix everything? Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman have kind of fixed everything so the kids have nothing to do," Morrison said, so instead they spend their time living like the cast of The Hills. Which is kind of inspired, and depressingly believable, and also totally different from anything we've seen before.
