10 Most Ridiculous Things Wolverine Survived

1. He Was Burned To Nothing

A combustible supervillain called Nitro blew himself up beside a school in Stamford, killing hundreds of people including dozens of children. Because Nitro had never displayed explosive power on this level before, Wolverine believed an unknown party had contributed to Nitro's amplified abilities.

When he learned Nitro had escaped from authorities, Wolverine tracked him to a cabin. Realising he was cornered, Nitro allowed himself to explode, shredding Wolverine down to his metal skeleton.

Not only did Wolverine survive losing his... well...body... he was back to normal within a few minutes. Although it looked like his body was destroyed, there were just enough of his cells left to activate his healing factor, allowing him to completely regenerate.

According to Wolverine, the good part of getting incinerated is "You don't feel anything. 'Least not after the first 500 degrees. And then the pain becomes a different agony altogether."

If you think the intense heat ripping Wolverine's body sounds bad, the healing is even worse! As Wolverine felt his bones knit back together and his nervous system regenerate, he experienced physical suffering beyond comprehension.

It's nearly impossible to fathom anything a superhero has endured more painful than this incident.
