10 Most Ridiculous Ways Superheroes Have Come Back From The Dead

4. Jason Todd Is Brought Back By A Continuity Punch

Jason Todd's death and resurrection are both iconic moments, but for very different reasons.

Jason was the second Robin and was famously killed by the Joker after readers voted to get rid of him. For decades he was thought to be one of the few characters who would never be brought back until he was revealed to be the secret identity of the vigilante Red Hood.

How Jason actually came back is a bit of a convoluted story. Back in the 80's, DC made Crisis on Infinite Earths, a story that merged all their alternate continuities into a single world. A few alternate universe characters survived by being thrown into pocket dimension, this included a teenage version of Clark Kent known as Superboy Prime.

Prime came to hate his existence in the pocket universe as he was frozen in time, unable to ever age and reach his full potential as a hero. In one of the most aggressively dumb moments in comics, Superboy lashed out and was somehow able to punch continuity itself. He punched it so hard that it altered reality and brought Jason Todd back to life.

Apart from being complete nonsense, it seems like an overly elaborate way to bring Jason back when Batman has an enemy with his own magic resurrection pool.
