Now better known by his catchphrase Shazam for obvious legal reasons, Captain Marvel was blessed with the abilities of multiple mythic beings by some weird wizard due, each corresponding to a letter of the magical phrase he utters to transform between little kid Batson and his superhero alter ego: S for Solomon, H for Hercules, A for Atlas, Z for Zeus, A for Achilles, and M for Mercury. In case you're not as up on your Greek myths as you perhaps should be (or it's been a while since you watched Disney's Hercules), that means Captain Marvel is blessed with superhuman intelligence, clairvoyance, expert hypnotic powers, superhuman strength and stamina, self-sustenance (so he doesn't need to eat, sleep, or breathe), resistance to magic, a crazy healing factor, he can hurl thunder bolts, is invulnerable, can fly, and teleport.
