5. Atomica’s Double Double Agency - New 52
During The New 52 era of DC comic books, there were not one but two Justice Leagues; the classic one (bar Martian Manhunter) that we all know and love and a new, not so loveable one. Formed by Amanda Waller and Steve Trevor, this considerably less loveable League was designed to aid in keeping the actual League in check.
Atomica, an astoundingly sadistic figure from Earth 3, joins both Justice Leagues and frequently betrays the originals as a snitch to Waller and Trevor. Her two-faced traitor ways don’t stop there however. Rounding back to her Earth 3 residence, Atomica ultimately betrays both Leagues as well as Justice League Dark during the Forever Evil event. A proud member of the Crime Syndicate, Atomica uses Pandora’s Box (always a bad sign) to bring her actual team mates to Earth, trapping the Justice Leagues and allowing the Crime Syndicate to run rough shod over a new Earth.
A betrayal of not one, not two but three Justice Leagues, Atomica’s a three-faced piece of work. She would ultimately get her comeuppance courtesy of Lex Luthor during his brief run as a superhero.
