10 Most Underrated Superman Villains

5. OMAC

DC Comics

Although there are multiple versions of the unstoppable OMAC (Omni Mind and Community), the most dangerous version of this cyborg was created by Checkmate's leader, Maxwell Lord. During the Infinite Crisis storyline, Lord intended to police every super-being on Earth by turning thousands of people into OMACs.

Each of these units was installed with an archive on every metahuman on Earth, which included their secret identity, address, and weaknesses. Not only that, each drone was endowed with adaptive powers, allowing them to go toe-to-toe with pretty much anyone. Throughout this storyline, the OMACs defeated seemingly unbeatable opponents including Shazam, Mary Marvel, and the Eradicator.

However, it's not the OMACs' power that makes them so dangerous. Each OMAC inhabits the body of an innocent civilian. Because of Superman's No-Kill rule, he's unable to unleash his full power against these killing machines without taking a life, forcing the Man of Steel to fight smart rather than relying on his brute strength.

In the end, all of the OMACs were defeated after the satellite controlling them, Brother Eye, was destroyed. Nevertheless, they proved to be one of the most deadliest foes Superman (or any superhero for that matter) has ever faced.
