The alien warlord, Mongul, has a wide variety of weapons he can use to vanquish his enemies. He has a planet-sized gun, a death cannon built into his chest, mind-controlling Black Mercy plants, and the Ater Clementia orchid that can drive anyone into a blinding rage, even Superman.

However, the yellow-skinned extra-terrestrial's greatest weapon is his brawn. In fact, Mongul is one of the few supervillains whose strength surpasses Superman. According to Kal-El, Mongul's power rivals Darkseid. The tyrannical emperor is so strong, he has battled dozens of Green Lanterns and Yellow Lanterns at once. He managed to effortlessly slay a New God in Sinestro #11.

Not only can he dish out punishment, he can take it. In 2014's Batman/Superman #11, he withstood a battle against the supposedly invincible Doomsday. In Sinestro #21, he didn't suffer a scratch after burning up in a planet's atmosphere. Whether he is facing Superman or Wonder Woman, he often walks away unscathed.

Considering he can go duke it out with anyone and take a staggering amount of punishment, it's pretty surprising Mongul isn't rated as dangerously as some of Superman's top tier villains.
