10 Oldest Mutants In X-Men History
3. Selene Gallio - 17,000 Years
Born in the 15th century BC, Selene is one of the oldest beings to ever walk the Earth. Endowed with an arsenal of abilities including telekinesis, pyrokineisis, hypnosis, and astral projection, Selene she's also considered one of the world's most dangerous supervillains.
Despite her youthful appearance, this insidious vampire DOES age. She also ages much faster when she uses her powers. However, the self-proclaimed Goddess of the Moon is able to stave off death by stealing the life-force of her victims.
Since she predates most of human history, it's not surprising to learn Selene has bared witness to many significant moments in time. Throughout her life, she has seen the oceans swallow Atlantis, the fall of Rome, and the eruption of Mt Vesuvius.
Even though Selene has been killed a number of times, the wicked witch has an annoying habit of resurrecting herself. The only way to put Selene down for good is to have her life-force drained by one of the Externals. But if the External in question doesn't kill the rest of his or her kind, Selene is destined to return.
