10 Parts Of Star Wars Legends That Became Canon
7. Clone Rebellion
During the campaign of 2005's Star Wars: Battlefront II, an unnamed member of the 501st Clone Legion recalls the time when he was sent as part of an Imperial strike force, commanded by Boba Fett, to eliminate an uprising on Kamino. The Kaminoans, who created the Republic's clone army a few years prior, had produced another clone army, aiming to fight the Empire. The Empire emerged victorious from the battle, destroying the rogue clone army and killing the Kaminoans before they could escape.
The events of the Kamino Uprising saw the Empire begin to use alternate cloning templates rather than continuing to exclusively use that of Jango Fett's. This, in Legends, explained why Stormtroopers were not clones of the bounty hunter by the time of the Original Trilogy.
Throughout both seasons of The Bad Batch, the Empire moves away from clones, instead opting for cheaper conscripts. Because of this, more and more clones push back against their Imperial overlords, like Captain Howzer and Commando Gregor. The second season has set up the beginnings of an organised clone rebellion, headed by Captain Rex and Echo, though things will certainly have to be different, considering Kamino's cloning facilities on Tipoca City were entirely destroyed at the end of the first season.
