Brian Michael Bendis is one of those writers fans either love or hate. Regardless of which side of the fence you fall on, there's no denying the fact that he must have friends in high places because his dominance over certain characters borders on being ridiculous. It started with The Avengers, but just as he wrote two titles for Earth's Mightiest Heroes at the same time, he's also doing the same as of right now for the X-Men. It's too much. Throw in Ultimate Spider-Man (which to be fair is his baby) and Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's just too much of the same voice in the Marvel Universe. Bendis has a very distinct - and widely ridiculed - style of writing dialogue, and having him control an entire franchise leaves those who aren't fans with few options. It's also frequently clear that he spreads himself too thin due to the poor quality or repetitive nature of his stories.
