10 Spider-Man Sidekicks Everyone Forgets
7. Deadpool
Deadpool has been one of the most interesting characters in the Marvel Universe ever since Rob Liefeld created him, but he's rarely been considered to be anyone's sidekick.
After all, he's effectively immortal and more than capable of going up against pretty much any enemy, so why would he need to fight under another superhero?
To be fair, he doesn't. Not really. That being said, he has teamed up with other heroes countless times, and while he's most often associated with Cable where his team-ups are concerned, he's also gone out on the streets with Spider-Man a ton of times over the years.
Still, Spider-Man isn't the kind of guy who would normally team up with a character who is basically just like him in terms of wisecracks, but completely different in his methods when dealing with his opponents. After all, Deadpool loves killing people, and Spider-Man is on the other side of that argument.
Because of this one major difference in their methods, whenever they do team-up, Deadpool has to take his cues from Spidey. There's no way Peter would agree to work with Wade unless he followed his rules, and because of this, their team-ups are more like hero/sidekick relationships than anything else.
