10 Strangest Members Of The Suicide Squad

2. Weasel

Licking our screens and causing chaos in the upcoming The Suicide Squad movie, Weasel has been a consistent oddball in the comics since his introduction in 1985.

Real name John Monroe, this character had been victim of intense bullying as a student, with his attackers referring to him as 'Weasel'. Developing serious issues, Monroe eventually became a teacher - which sounds like a great idea. Donning a catsuit with sharpened claws, Monroe went after his bullies and brutally murdered them, finally being apprehended by Firestorm.

Jailed and enraged that his nickname was now his supervillain moniker, Weasel agreed to become part of the Suicide Squad on the condition he'd be eventually released and could go after his remaining tormentors, and Firestorm. On Task Force X's mission to rescue Hawk, this furry suit-wearing foe tried to kill a jeering Thinker with his claws but was quickly put down by Rick Flag. The mission continued, with no one really caring about Weasel's demise.

In DC's New 52, Weasel took on a more animal-like appearance due to sinister experimentation, his look similar to that seen in trailers for The Suicide Squad. We'll have to wait and see what kind of character Weasel will be in the movie, but undoubtedly, he'll be just as weird and unhinged as his comic book counterparts.
