10 Strangest Versions Of The Punisher

2. MangaVerse

Back in the early 2000's, Marvel saw the growing popularity of manga in the west, and decided to try their hand at creating their own. So they invented the Mangaverse, a line of comics covering an alternate world of Marvel heroes in a world inspired by manga. There were versions of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Hulk, but the most interesting is this world's version of the Punisher.

In the Mangaverse, the Punisher is a woman dressed like a geisha that doesn't use firearms. Instead, she uses her martial arts skills and a whip. Also unlike most versions of the Punisher, the Mangaverse version isn't actually that serious, and her idea of punishing criminals is less killing criminals and more tickling their feet and spanking them until they stop doing crime or tell her what she wants to know.

There's a reason Marvel doesn't talk about the Mangaverse all that often.
