One of the most important characters in Peter Parker's life is Mary Jane Watson. She's been around for decades, and the pair have had a lot of ups and downs over the years. Mary Jane is a lot of things, but she's not a superhero — at least, not in the regular continuity of the Marvel Universe.

In an alternate reality, Mary Jane found herself in need of some superpowers so that she could protect her family. Lacking any of her own, Peter Parker helped her out by designing a special suit for her, which had the ability to mimic all of his abilities.

The suit worked in an unusual way, and whenever Mary Jane was wearing it and in close proximity to Peter, it sapped his powers. This would worsen, the closer she got to him, and the longer she used the powers, which became a little bit of a problem.

While wearing the suit, Mary Jane, who called herself Spinaret, would increase in power and ability in excess of what Peter could do. After going up against Venom, she began sapping his powers as well, which left her more powerful than both Spider-Man and Venom combined — at least, for a time.
