The post-Grant Morrison period was a weird one for the X-Men. Subsequent creative teams struggled with whether to continue on in earnest, following the weirder and more mature bent the Scottish writer had taken to the characters, or to return to the status quo and just keep introducing weird and wacky characters. Some decided to do both, as was the case with Joe Casey's dubious crowning achievement, Stacy X. There is something to be said for the character, a mutant sex worker who uses her powers of pheromone control to entice her customers and give them the best, ahem, happy ending of their lives. That's actually pretty interesting, and something that hasn't been explored in the X-Men before. Sadly, once it got past the ideas stage and she was drafted into the team, Stacy didn't have much to offer outside of trying to sleep with every male member (steady) of the team, then quitting when she got turned down by everyone. Like Callisto, Stacy X also lost her powers on M Day, the ultimate fate for characters nobody knows what to do with.
