10 Superheroes Who Are Too Arrogant For Their Own Good

8. Iron Man

Before the shrapnel entered his heart, Tony Stark was an arrogant weapons manufacturer who thought he was at the top of the world. One high powered armored suit later and he€™s...well, he€™s still that arrogant weapons manufacturer, but at least now he€™s directing his resources towards helping people. Still, you can always count on Tony to showboat around while he€™s fighting evil as Iron Man. He€™ll take down the threat while making himself look good and delivering clever quips. This also results in his sticking it to authority figures and galavanting around to solve problems on his own, although this is dialed down a bit when working with the Avengers. The man clearly thinks a lot about himself, something that Robert Downey Jr. portrays remarkably well in the movies. At its core, it goes back to his IQ. As one of the smartest people on the planet, Tony usually assumes he always has the right answers. Even without his armor, he€™s capable of other feats of intellectual prowess, and in his mind that places him above everyone else. This is partly what led to the Civil War debacle, which eventually bit him in the ass. There€™s nothing wrong with being a genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist, but that doesn€™t make you flawless, Tony. Come back down to Earth every once and awhile.
