10 Superheroes Who Have Committed Murder

1. Superboy Prime

Superboy Prime
DC Comics

Like the regular Superman, Superboy Prime is a Kryptonian called Kal-El who lived as Clark Kent on Earth. When a cosmic entity called the Anti-Monitor began eradicating universes, Prime allied with the heroes from the main DC universe to save the multiverse.

Despite the fact that Prime helped save all of existence, every universe was destroyed apart from the main DC one, forcing him to hibernate in a pocket dimension. This dimension was only a few miles big and was made of the residual energy from the the old universes.

Prime kept watching his world being destroyed over and over on the Residual Walls and so, become unstable. Believing his world should replace the current one, he broke out and slaughtered several superheroes including Panthra, Bushido, Wildebeest, and the original incarnation of Superman, Kal-L.

When the multiverse was brought back, he travelled from dimension to dimension to seek out his own world. Frustrated that it no longer existed, Prime blew up a parallel Earth out of spite.

Since the alien race, The Monitors, keep the multiverse in check, Prime believed they could help him find his original world. One of the Monitors banished Prime to Earth 51 to fight their enemy, a being made of quantum energy called Monarch. When Prime ripped off Monarch's armour, his unstable energy blew up the entire universe! This means that Superboy Prime is responsible for killing a whole dimension. Not even the Joker or Lex Luthor can compete with that death toll.

Despite the fact he is one of the biggest killers in comic book history, he was perceived as a hero for 20 years.
