Due to Susan Storm's psionic powers, most supervillains know they can't imprison her conventionally. If she was placed in a cage or handcuffed, she can use her abilities to break free. In order to imprison Susan Storm, you need to get creative.

When a criminal called Octavia Vetivier captured her, she performed a procedure on Susan to cut off the blood circulation to her retinas, leaving her blind. Unable to see, Sue couldn't fight her captors or escape.

At a glance, Vetivier's plan sounds genius. But it had one big flaw; Susan Storm cannot be blinded. When Sue goes invisible, every part of her body goes invisible, including her optic nerves.

Since her optic nerves are unseen, this should render her blind every time she uses her powers. However, she has an immunity because the cosmic rays that gave her superpowers altered her optic nerves. Even when her eyes aren't working, she can still see her surroundings.

Not only can she not be blinded, she can always see objects that are supposed to be invisible, including her own forcefields. If she makes someone invisible, she still knows exactly where they are.
