5. Superman Prime (Created By Alex Luthor)
During Crisis on Infinite Earths, a cosmic being called the Anti-Monitor tried to undo all of existence. By the time the heroes defeated him, every reality had been eliminated save for Earth-2.
However, there were several survivors from other universes; Alex Luthor from Earth-3, Superman and Lois Lane from Earth-1, and Superboy Prime from Earth-Prime. These four found refuge in a pocket universe made of the residual energy of their dead realities.
When Alex Luthor realised he could resurrect his universe if he escaped, he manipulated the residual walls to repeatedly show Superboy Prime's world being destroyed. Unable to control his temper, Prime smashed the walls, freeing the four from their cosmic prison.
Although Alex was free, he never could've anticipated what his actions did to Prime. Watching everyone he ever loved die on loop drove the former superhero insane. Changing his name to Superman Prime, he vowed to destroy reality in order to resurrect his own.
Even when the multiverse returned to normal, Prime destroyed two entire dimensions in a rage when he couldn't find his world. It was tragic to see Prime lose his mind since he didn't have a bad bone in his body before Alex manipulated him.
