Superboy has always had a weird origin story. Created in a lab, Conner Kent is a partial clone of the worlds greatest hero. But, since the scientists were unable to perfectly replicate Kryptonian DNA, they had to improvise. Deciding that part-Kryptonian was better than nothing, the scientists filled in the blanks with human genetic material. Most kids struggle to get out from under the shadow of their parents, good or bad. But what if one of your parents is Superman? Talk about unnecessary baggage. Not that things were that simple. Shortly after joining the Teen Titans, Superboy was sent some potentially damning information: yes, he's half Kryptonian, but that human DNA that fills out the rest of his biology? None of than Lex Luthor's. Remember that baggage? Double it. Triple it, even. Unsure of how to take the news, Connor swore teammate Robin to secrecy while he tried to wrap his mind around the revelation that his other "father" was the world's most infamous super villain. Unfortunately the person that sent Robin and Superboy that information was Lex himself, who wasn't planning on keeping that information secret for long. Drama upon drama!
