9. Quicksilver And Scarlet Witch
During Marvel's "Ultimate" era, the entire Marvel universe received one giant retcon. Some of what came out of that era is fantastic. For instance, the introduction of Miles Morales, who became so popular he survived the destruction of the Ultimate universe. However, there was far more that fans really didn't enjoy during that time.
The biggest yikes goes to Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch getting together. When the characters were brought over to the Ultimate universe, their close sibling relationship turned into something a little more intimate. Despite still being siblings in this new continuity, the two were portrayed a being very close in ways brothers and sisters should not be.
What makes the whole thing even worse (yes it can get worse), is the realisation that the main reason Pietro was attracted to Wanda because she reminded him of his mother. That's some major Sigmund Freud stuff right there.
Thankfully, this is another pairing that was rightfully retconned out of existence by Marvel. When the Ultimate universe was destroyed, so was this abomination of a relationship. To this day it's unclear why anyone thought this was a good idea.
