10 Terrible Comic Book Moments That Could Have Been Saved With One Simple Twist

8. The "Gray Son"

When the Court of Owls storyline saw Dick Grayson be revealed as the great-grandson of the first ever Talon assassin - thus making him "the Gray Son", it was... almost cool. It was really, really close to being cool.

But just taking someone's name and pretending it was part of some special hidden plot the whole time can feel a little bit much. Or a lot, depending on your tolerance for that kind of thing.

We all love a badass nickname for a character, but maybe just splitting someone's last name into two words and handing it back to them as a title isn't quite the ticket. They could have literally named him "Son of the Talon" instead, which - while not exactly breaking the bank in terms of creativity - provides that edgy nickname in a way that feels less on the nose.
