3. Inviting Wonder Man At All

Hank Pym did a lot of heinous things in his time, it's true. The reason they keep getting brushed aside, however, is that he is still a pretty invaluable member of any team. There's the fact that he's super smart, obviously, but also he invented the Pym particles that allowed him to shrink to the size of an ant or grow to the size of a giant/goliath (depending what breakdown he's on) and then the tech to do...whatever Yellowjacket's gimmick was. The gist of it is that Hank Pym keeps getting invited back to the Avengers despite all his sins is that he offers them something. As to why Wonder Man keeps appearing alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes? There's absolutely no explanation. Originally debuting as a villain - which should tell you a lot - the amazing powers that Simon Williams brings to the table are like the default settings on the character creation screen of a videogame. He has super strength, can fly, fire lasers, and basically all the other abilities that are already catered for by literally every other member of the Avengers. There is no reason for him to be there. Especially considering he's a douchenozzle of the highest order, who quite a job with a superhero team who save thousands of lives on a regular basis to become an actor. He didn't think he was being appreciated enough, y'see. He's a fame-obsessed jerk and we're glad that even if he keeps popping up, he's not as huge a part of Avengers teams now as he used to be.
