3. Death Of Robin/Damian Wayne

The life of a Robin is apparently a deadly job to undertake. In Batman Incorporated Vol. 2 # 8, Gotham City was under all-out attack by the forces of Leviathan. Wearing a powerful endoskeleton, Damian Wayne as Robin flew to Wayne Tower and defeated a number of Leviathan agents. He was nearly overrun but was saved by Nightwing, and the pair briefly reminisced about their time as Batman and Robin - and Damian even admitted Dick was his favorite partner.

The pair reengaged the Leviathan henchmen and defeated them. The Heretic, a clone of Damian who was artificially aged, knocked Nightwing out and challenged Damian to a fight to prove who is Talia al Ghul’s “chosen” son. The two were evenly matched and Damian began to get the upper hand, but Leviathan agents shot arrows into Robin but he continued to fight. The Heretic ran his sword through Damian, lifting him into the air on its tip.

Batman freed himself from a safe at the bottom of a pool and fought off a group of Man-Bats while Talia taunted him about the idea of Robin being a failed experiment. Bruce was shocked to find the bodies of his sons on the ground, one dead, the other unconscious. He cradled Damian’s dead body in his arms.
