Alien invaders from another dimension of time and space! That’s one way to describe these haunting enemies that were featured in a single issue of Doctor Strange. The Possessors were an alien race that could commandeer your body and control your mind.

Body-snatching aliens are nothing new in science fiction. But, what sets the Possessors apart is their celestial nature.

Usually, body-snatching requires the victim to come into physical contact with an alien. Or, maybe the victim has to breathe in some alien spores. But, the Possessors exist in an astral form and can simply slide into your body and override your mind.

That’s pretty terrifying considering their plan was to do this to every living person on the planet. The only defense against these mind-invading foes was Doctor Stange’s brand of trippy, astral magic. Doctor Strange was able to cast the Possessors back into their realm.
