10 Things DC Comics Want You To Forget About The Joker‏

5. He Once Had A (Different) Daughter

Joker Daughter

Duela Dent recently appeared in a very different incarnation in the New 52, now a psychotic young woman who lives in the sewers and worships the Joker to such a degree that she makes a deal with the Dollmaker to have the missing (following the events of Death of the Family) villain's shorn face sewn over here own. Which is...pretty weird. Much like the Joker himself, Duela Dent - or Duela Dent Napier Nigma, as she went by back then - was a lot more innocent back in the day.

No less stable, though. Initially claiming to be related to Catwoman, the Scarecrow, the Riddler, and the Penguin, following her initial battle with Robin he deduced she was actually the kin of Harvey Dent, better know as Two-Face (for obvious reasons). But that was only after she'd attacked both Robin and Batgirl whilst dressed as her varied claimed parents, including The Joker.

Eventually she ended up sort-of joining the Teen Titans, although they never quite trusted her. Need more evidence that the old Duela Dent was a heck of a lot different to the current one? During his first appearance her distinguishing feature wasn't a moldy old face she'd had weaved into her skull, but a lipstick gun that fired kisses at Dick Grayson. What a rascal.
